Naisten peli ei mennyt suunnitellusti
Sunnuntaina 26.11. naisten joukkue pelasi kotisalissa. Joukkueen keskitorjuja Ilona kertoo kuinka peli eteni:
Peli alkoi tasaisesti ja sillä kaavalla mentiinkin koko ensimmäinen erä. Erävoitto 25-21 taskuun.
Toisessa erässä puksutettiin muttei höyrytty, kunnes höyryttiin. Tasaisen alkuerän jälkeen
vastustaja karkasi pisteiden kanssa saavuttamattomiin. Toinen erä 17-25 vastustajalle.
Kolmas erä lähti samalla tavalla käyntiin kuin kaksi edellistä. Erän ensimmäinen eräpallo meni
vastustajalle, mutta onnistuimme tasoittamaan 24-24 tilanteeseen. Pääsimme eräpallo
tilanteeseen, se ei kuitenkaan riittänyt erävoittoon. Kolmas erä 27-29 vastustajalle.
Neljäs erä lähti taas vahvasti käyntiin. Kuitenkin koimme erän aikana notkahduksen, jolloin
vastustaja pääsi kirimään saavuttamaamme etumatkaa. Pääsimme silti nopeasti takaisin peliin
mukaan ja loppuerä mentiin jo tutulla tasaisella kaavalla. Loppumetreillä vastustaja kuitenkin otti
pelistä kovemman otteen ja näin viimeinen erä päättyi 22-25. Peli päättyi siis 1-3 vastustajalle.
Koko peli pelattiin tasaisen hyvin eikä pelissä ollut tiettyä heikkoa osa-aluetta. Mainittakoon vielä
Inka Siekkisen upeat syötöt ja pitkät syöttöputket koko pelin läpi.

The women’s game didn’t go as planned
On Sunday, November 26th, the women’s team played in their home venue. The team’s middle blocker, Ilona, describes how the game unfolded:
The game started evenly, and that pattern continued throughout the entire first set. We secured the first set victory with a score of 25-21.
In the second set, we were keeping pace, but then our opponents managed to break away with the points, making it unreachable for us. The second set ended with a score of 17-25 in favor of the opponents.
The third set began in the same manner as the previous two. The first set point went to the opponents, but we managed to level the score to 24-24. Although we had a set point opportunity, it wasn’t enough for a set victory. The third set ended with a score of 27-29 in favor of the opponents.
The fourth set started strongly again. However, we experienced a dip during the set, allowing the opponents to close the gap we had gained. Nevertheless, we quickly got back into the game, and the final part of the set followed the familiar even pattern. In the final moments, the opponents took a firmer grip on the game, and the last set ended with a score of 22-25. Thus, the game concluded with a 1-3 victory for the opponents.
The entire game was played quite well, and there wasn’t a specific weak area in the game. It’s worth mentioning Inka Siekkinen’s fantastic serves and long serving streaks throughout the entire game.
