Alajärveltä ei jäänyt käteen muuta kuin pelikokemusta
B-tytöt kävivät pelaamassa Alajärvellä, Ilona kertoo miten päivän pelit sujuivat:
Lähdettiin vajaalla, 8 pelaajan joukkueella jo tutuksi tulleelle Alajärvelle ”rennolla raivolla” pelaamaan.
Vastassa oli turnausjärjestäjä Alajärven Ankkurit, KARHU ja Kauhavan Wisa.
Ensimmäinen peli oli KARHUA vastaan ja peliin lähdettiin hyvällä energiatasolla ja mielellä. Sillä ei
kuitenkaan pärjätty ja ensimmäinen erä päättyi 16-25 KARHU:lle. Erässä syöttö sakkasi ja syöttövirheillä
annettiin paljon ilmaisia pisteitä vastustajalle. Toisessa erässä peli lähti jo paremmin käyntiin ja syöttö
saatiin kuntoon. Tasaisen alkuerän jälkeen vastustaja karkasi pisteiden kanssa eikä enää saatu kiinni. Erä
päättyi 17-25 KARHU:lle. Peli siis 2-0 vastustajalle.
Ruokatauon ja lyhyen palaverin jälkeen lähdettiin uuteen nousuun Alajärven Ankkureita vastaan. Ekassa
erässä pelattiin tasaisen hyvin ja tiukka erä päättyikin 27-25 Plokille. Toisessa erässä vastustaja alkoi
painamaan kovemmin vastaan ja erä meni 21-25 Alajärvelle. Kolmas erä karkasi täysin käsistä eikä millään
saatu omasta pelistä kiinni. Erityisesti hyökkäysvirheillä tarjoilimme helpon voiton vastustajalle ja erä
päättyi masentavaan 2-15 lukemaan Alajärvelle. Peli päättyi 2-1 vastustajalle.
Päivän viimeiseen peliin KauWi:a vastaan lähdettiin päättäväisin mielin, mutta eka erä meni silti KauWi:lle
lukemin 25-17. Toisessa erässä voitontahto oli korkealla, mutta edelleenkään hyökkäyspeli ei toiminut, erä
hävittiin 25-21. Peli päättyi 2-0 vastustajalle.
Päivässä oli paljon hyvää ja moni asia onnistui, hyökkäys ei valitettavasti ollut yksi niistä. Mieltä lämmitti
myös se, että valot pysyivät koko turnauspäivän ajan päällä toisin kuin viimeksi, jolloin pelit keskeytyivät
40min ajaksi valon puutteen vuoksi. Seuraava turnaus taas kolmen viikon päästä.

The only thing we got from Alajärvi was the experience of playing
The B-girls went to play in Alajärvi, and Ilona shares how the day’s games went:
We went with a slightly understaffed team, consisting of 8 players, to the familiar Alajärvi with a mindset of playing with ‘relaxed intensity.’ The opponents were the tournament organizers Alajärven Ankkurit, KARHU, and Kauhavan Wisa.
The first game was against KARHU, and despite starting with good energy and spirits, we didn’t fare well. The first set ended 16-25 in favor of KARHU. Our serves were struggling in this set, and with service errors, we gave the opponents many free points. In the second set, the game started better, and we improved our serving. After a closely contested start, the opponent pulled away with points, and we couldn’t catch up. The second set ended 17-25 in favor of KARHU. So, the game went 2-0 to the opponents.
After a food break and a brief discussion, we went for a new challenge against Alajärven Ankkurit. In the first set, we played quite well, and the tight set ended 27-25 in our favor. In the second set, the opponent started pressing harder, and they won 21-25. The third set completely slipped away, and we couldn’t get back into our game. Particularly with attack errors, we handed an easy victory to the opponents, and the set ended in a depressing 2-15 score for Alajärvi. The game ended 2-1 for the opponents.
In the last game of the day against KauWi, we started with a determined mindset, but the first set still went to KauWi with a score of 25-17. In the second set, the will to win was high, but our attacking game still didn’t work well, and we lost the set 25-21. The game ended 2-0 for the opponents.
There were many positive aspects of the day, and many things went well, unfortunately, the attack was not one of them. It was also heartening that the lights stayed on throughout the tournament day, unlike last time when the games were interrupted for 40 minutes due to a lack of light. The next tournament is again in three weeks.
