N2-joukkue lujilla kotipelissä

Plokin N2-joukkueen pelaaja Roosa Rääpysjärvi kertoo raportissaan, kuinka kotipeli sujui Rovaniemen Arctic Volley (ArVo) -joukkuetta vastaan sunnuntaina 16.10. You can find the English report at the end of the Finnish one.

Fiilikset peliin lähdettäessä oli hyvät. Ensimmäinen erä lähti vaikeuksien kautta käyntiin, kun vastustaja otti 7 pisteen johdon hyvillä syötöillä. Saimme kuitenkin hyvän pisteputken heti perään, ja erä näytti tasaiselta. Loppuerästä pelimme vähän lässähti ja vastustaja vei ensimmäisen erän luvuin 18–25.

Toisen erään alkuun ArVo otti johdon, ja sitä jatkui koko erä. Vastaanottomme tökki pahasti eikä hyökkäyspaikkoja päästy kunnolla rakentamaan. Muutamia hienoja puolustuksia ja hyökkäyksiä näkyi kuitenkin myös meidän puoleltamme.

Kolmannen erän peli näytti jo paljon paremmalta. Tunnelma oli hyvä ja peli rullasi. Vastaanotto parani, ja otimmekin johdon heti erän aluksi. Johtomme jatkui tilanteeseen 24–20 asti. Viimeinen erä oli ollut meidän hallinnassamme, ja sen päättäminen oli täysin meidän käsissämme. Kolmannen erän voittaminen kaatui kuitenkin moneen perättäiseen virheeseen meidän puoleltamme. Erä päättyi vastustajalle siis 25–27.

Peli oli nousujohteista, ja viimeisen erän peli näytti jo hyvältä loppua lukuunottamatta.

The N2 team’s home game was an ordeal

Ploki’s N2 team player Roosa Rääpysjärvi tells in her report how the home game went against the Rovaniemi Arctic Volley (ArVo) team on Sunday the 16th of October. 

The feelings when starting the game were good. The first set got off to a rough start when the opponent took a 7-point lead with good passes. However, we got a good run of points right after, and the set looked even. At the end of the set, our game slowed down a bit and the opponent won the first set by 18–25.

At the beginning of the second period, ArVo took the lead, and it continued throughout the period. Our reception struggled badly and we couldn’t build attacking positions properly. However, some great defenses and attacks were also visible from our side.

The game of the third set already looked much better. The atmosphere was good and the game was rolling. The reception got better, and we took the lead right at the beginning of the set. Our lead continued until the situation was 24–20. The last batch had been under our control and it was completely up to us to decide. However, winning the third set fell due to many consecutive mistakes on our part. The set ended 25–27 for the opponent.

The game was upbeat, and the game of the last set already looked good except for the end.
